DAAD New York is pleased to announce that we have implemented an online form for application to the following scholarship/grant programs:
  • Undergraduate Scholarship (January 31 deadline)
  • Study Scholarship (November 15 deadline; November 1 for artists/musicians)
  • Research Grant (November 15 deadline; August 1 for short-term grants)
Eventually this online form will also be used to apply to additional DAAD funding programs. On the DAAD New York website, applicants will find detailed instructions on how to fill out the online application. All other application requirements and deadlines remain the same, but please note that completion of the online application form on your computer screen does not constitute a complete application. Applicants must print out their completed online application and submit it with all accompanying documentation, postmarked no later than the relevant deadline. If you are from a DAAD Partner University and applying for a graduate Study Scholarship or Research Grant, you must submit your application to your on-campus advisor/representative.

To access the online application form, go to www.daad.org/?p=onlineapp. The program will focus on the present situation of Science in Germany, and cover various aspects of higher education, interdisciplinary cooperation and industrial application. Visits have been planned to institutions in Bonn, Aachen, Mainz, Heidelberg and other cities, with the purpose of meeting with policy makers, institutional leaders, faculty and researchers. The group will visit some of the most outstanding research facilities - both industry and university - in Germany. The program will be in English. All program-related costs in Germany (accommodations, travel, most meals) will be borne by the DAAD. Intercontinental travel is at the participants' expense. Applicants must have US or Canadian citizenship, a special interest in Germany and transatlantic cooperation, and a relevant professional position.
